MORE THAN VINTAGE

More Than Vintage is a student-run business in East Lansing that specializes in vintage clothing and high-end streetwear. I was part of a team of ten students who launched and grew the business from scratch, creating a space run by students for students. The store quickly became a popular spot in the community, known not just for its unique, curated collections but also for bringing people together through fashion and creativity.

VINTAGE FEST

Through More than Vintage, we launched Michigan Vintage Fest, where I lead the event planning team. This event, a cornerstone in East Lansing, highlights diverse local vendors, draws hundreds of attendees, supports small business economic growth, and offers a creative outlet for Michigan State students and the community. I worked closely with city officials, securing the mayor’s support to pass a new city ordinance allowing businesses to use downtown streets for the event. I also designed key advertising graphics for social media to drive promotion. We’ve successfully hosted five Vintage Fests, and this video is from our very first.

SOCIAL MEDIA marketing

At More Than Vintage, I managed the full social media presence across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook by creating content calendars, producing engaging posts and videos, and running campaigns from start to finish. I grew our Instagram to over 9,985 followers, with most of that growth happening in the first year through viral reels, local collaborations, and community-focused content. My work consistently boosted engagement, increased event turnout, and strengthened brand visibility. I helped establish More Than Vintage as a standout in Michigan’s vintage retail scene and a familiar name in the East Lansing community.

INFLUENCER Marketing

I led influencer campaigns that made the brand feel like a part of MSU culture, not just something students saw but something they belonged to. I handpicked student influencers including athletes, Greek life leaders, and MSU students who genuinely reflected our brand’s values and vibe. From product drops and creative content to social posts and on-campus appearances, I managed it all, making sure every moment felt real, on brand, and community driven. These campaigns didn’t just boost visibility. They built connection. We turned the brand into something students were proud to rep, and it showed.
